Admit it. Dad is THE man! He can do it all, especially when cooking up nourishing meals for the family. So, this Father’s Day we want to salute all the guys who are the king of the kitchen (or grill) and feed us like royalty! But we need your help.

Our favorite dad influencer is Derek Campanile (Dad with a Pan). Not only does Derek create the most amazing recipes, but he also sees the importance of gathering at the table with family for dinner as often as possible! His goal is to inspire his kids – and other dads – to slip on an apron and have fun in the kitchen with the family. So, when we called him to partner with us for this program, he was all-in!
Being the king of his own kitchen, Derek has created two delicious new recipes for us to share with you:
- Pickled Beet Chimichurri Tri-Tip
- German Potato Salad Flatbread with Bratwurst and Caramelized Onions

Pickled Beet Chimichurri Tri-Tip
Serving Size: 6-8 people
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 1-1.5 hours
Ingredients
- 1 tri-tip roast (about 2-3 pounds)
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Chimichurri Beet Sauce:
- 1 jar Aunt Nellie’s Diced Pickled Beets, drained
- 1 cup fresh parsley, roughly chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, roughly chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh oregano, roughly chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
German Potato Salad Flatbread with Bratwurst and Caramelized Onions
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) READ German Potato Salad, drained
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 Bratwurst links, sliced crosswise into ⅛ inch thick slices.
- 1 pre-made flatbread, approximately 12-inch diameter
- 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
- Fresh chives, chopped, for garnish
- Olive oil for drizzle/brushing
- Fresh lemon wedges, for garnish
